A VISION I DID NOT UNDERSTAND

I was running with a vision I did not understand: All those spent on me and services, Especially the evening meetings and outreaches, I did with fervor, yet I did not understand. Though each week I chanted “That God made man…” It was hard to bear with almost any man. Through each week, the Vision, I recited. Why resemble a church? I thought we were doctors! Even though I’m Light’s ambassador Should that make me nothing but a torch? I smiled; I ‘played my part.’ Ac vi es, my full effort.  Confused, I gave my all, even when I hurt. Dutiful, yet absent at heart. But if all that is not eternal is eternally out of date as some great man once taught,

Success defined by distinctions, awards, accolades Were in the long run, for naught. So, my dear Medicine is a tool, not the goal. The Healer called us to be skillful with the same. But don’t you forget that medicine is too small to be your life’s endgame. In all your getting, recall “That God made man and Has called the priests on ward coats, you and I, hence CMDA.” Eyes have not seen; only He is worthy to be your end. True, lasting success is giving your all to do God’s will, God’s way.
