Prayer is a bridge to heaven’s gate.
A communion with God, our Father great. As citizens of heaven, sons and daughters
true, We express our hearts and minds, sincere and anew.
Belief is key, that God hears our call, Without tension or guilt, through his cleansing blood
We drop our guilt at the altar of grace, And secure our confidence in God’s embrace. We approach his mercy seat, just thanksgiving for all.
In praise to our hallowed King, our souls take flight,
In His presence, our hearts are made right.
Praying in tongues, our spirits are made known,
Weak and empty but His spirit roars within. Then we make our requests, with hearts full of fire,
Passionate and sincere, our prayers aspire, for by fervor Heaven’s gate opens wide.
The atmosphere of His presence guides our hearts,
As we pray with faith, and never depart. Prayer renews our minds, refines our purpose
true,
Clarifies our vision, and erases doubts anew. It eradicates Satan’s anchor, and sets us free, It brings peace like a river, joy like a fountain, overflowing in glee.
Prayer brings heaven down, and shower upon us light,
The light of the Father guides us through the night.
It strengthens our resolve, and calms our every fear,
And fills our heart with love, and wipes away each tear.
Oh, take me to the City of prayer.
