Building a Christian medical movement is primarily about encouraging and involving people and helping them to understand their role in the body of Christ, identify and develop their gifts and complete the good works that God has prepared for them to do in their lives.
The best way to encourage people is to help them to understand who they are in Christ and give work to do a healthy self-image depends on knowing that one is loved, has gifts to share and has achieved something worthwhile in services.
- Understand your own personal calling and live in wholehearted (Acts 20:24)
- Have a clear vision and goals and communicate them clearly (Matthew 28:19,20)
- Be persistent in prayer, particularly that God will continually raise up more workers for the ministry (Luke 10:2)
- Be an example in your personal life, priorities and commitment (1 Timothy 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:10, 11)
- Always be prepared to start new projects but hand them over to others as soon as you can (Acts 14:23)
- Look for faithful people and give them things to do (2 Timothy 2:2) including non-members.
- Encourage people in steps in proportion of their faith, gift and ability (Roman12:6)
- Always try to involve people in ministry you think will change and challenge them (Acts 16:1-3)
- Recognize people’s specific gift and callings and encourage them specially in those directions (Romans 12:6-8)
- Spend disproportionate time with a small number of key people (Mark 3:14)
- Be approachable and willing to listening to criticisms (Exodus 18:13-17)
- Always be looking to hand over areas to your present ministry (Titus 1:5)
- Delegate as much as you can to others so you can move on to other tasks (Acts 6:2-4)
- Be ruthless in your settings of priorities (Luke2:44)
- Make people and relationships your key priorities (Mark3:14)
- Engender responsibility in you volunteers and staff (Timothy 4:11-14)
- Be prepared to be disempowered and see others succeed (John3:30) don’t control people
- Be prepared to suffer for your people and your ministry (2 Timothy 2:3-7)
- Lead by example don’t ask people to do things you are not prepared to do yourself (1 Corinthians 11:1)
- Be honest and open about your own struggles and spiritual journey (2 Corinthians 6:2-13; 1 Thessalonians 2:8)
- Be constantly open to the leading of the Holy Spirit in Unanticipated directions (Acts 16:6-10)
- Seek wisdom about timing and procedure for implementing projects (Eccl. 8:6,6)
- Build strong relationships and seek to understand what motivates and drives each person (2 Timothy 1:3-7)
- Don’t worry about money but trust God will provide as you communicate the vision and press on with it (Philippians 4:14-19)
- Support your leaders volunteers and encourage them (1 Corinthians 15:58)
