WESTERN ZONE QUARTERLY WEBINAR SERIES – SEPTEMBER EDITION
The Western Zone held its third quarterly webinar with a highly insightful session titled “Advances in the Management of Cerebrovascular Accidents: Where We Are in Nigeria.”
Cerebrovascular accidents (strokes) continue to rank among the leading causes of death and disability in the country. In this enlightening session, Prof. F. A. Imarhiagbe, Head of the Neurology and Stroke Unit at University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), offered deep insights into current advances in stroke management and how these can be effectively applied within the Nigerian context.
The discussion not only broadened participants’ understanding of emerging best practices but also reinforced the importance of continuous learning and collaboration among healthcare professionals in addressing the growing burden of stroke in Nigeria.

Doctors Zonal Conference
Eastern Zonal Conference
September was a truly phenomenal month for our brethren in the Eastern Zone as they hosted the 6th Eastern Zonal Doctors’ Conference with the theme “Arrows of Impact” in the city of Abakaliki. The week-long event, held from September 22nd to 28th, began with chapter-led chain prayers and a general zonal prayer meeting, a spiritual prelude to what would become a deeply impactful gathering.
The conference activities commenced with a Secondary School Outreach at Foundation of Knowledge International Academy, Abakaliki, where students were inspired through Health and Career Talks, an Inter-School Quiz, Exhibitions, and an engaging Question-and-Answer Session.
The following day featured the Pre-Conference Free Rural Medical and Surgical Outreach at Community Primary School, Ndielegu-Echialike, Ikwo LGA, Ebonyi State. Through counselling, consultations, free laboratory tests, free drugs, and surgical interventions, over 200 medical consultations were conducted, six successful surgeries performed, and welfare materials distributed, all culminating in both physical healing and the sharing of the Gospel that led to transformed lives. To God be the glory!
Pre-conference activities concluded with a series of capacity-building workshops, including Basic Life Support and Advanced Support (BLS/AS), Basic Surgical Skills, Basics in Abdominal & Obstetrics Ultrasound (USS), and Research Skills & Methodology.
With hearts stirred and skills sharpened, all roads led to the Osborne La Palm Hotel, where the main conference unfolded. Members experienced an extraordinary time of fellowship in God’s presence, with sessions thoughtfully designed to blend spiritual renewal and professional excellence. Seasoned and erudite speakers brought God’s Word alive through the theme exposition and themes that inspired, challenged, and refined every participant both on-site and online; to rise as true arrows of impact, bringing lasting change in this decade of impact.
The conference culminated in a heartfelt Thanksgiving Service, as delegates lifted their voices in gratitude to God for His unmistakable presence, mercy, and guidance before, during, and after the event, crowning the 2025 Eastern Zonal Conference with undeniable success
From Arrows of Impact to Greater Heights — See You at DNC Lagos 2026!
Indeed, we are grateful to God for three awesome days in His presence. Like Jacob, we have subscribed to the Arrow’s Call—encountering transformation, polishing, and renewal.
As Arrows of Impact (AIs), we continually hide in His secret place, stay enflamed, and launch out to do the impossible with God for His glory. Therefore, we remain spotless until the day of the Lord—engaging ethically in practice and in living. Like normal saline, we bring life wherever we go, making Jesus known in the marketplace.
We are called to take the lead and bring order to every chaos—strategically investing our resources, building capacity and competence to advance global impact. We are intentional about leaving a legacy, not just professionally but within our families and relationships. Our marriages, spouses, children, siblings, relatives, and friends shall also be Arrows of Impact (AIs).
As we enlarge our tents, we prepare to break forth on the right and on the left in this Decade of Impact. Thank you for being a part of this great move of God. We pray that He will grant every delegate safe return and renewed strength to keep shining as Arrows of Impact.
See You at the National Doctors’ Conference — DNC Lagos 2026!
30th July – 2nd August, 2026

Northern Zonal Conference
The Northern Zonal Conference, themed “The Spirit-Filled Doctor,” was a remarkable testimony of God’s grace at work in CMDA Nigeria. Following the impactful pre-conference outreach at Koroko Village, which closed out the month of August, members across the northern zone converged at the Hospital Chapel, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), Gwagwalada, Abuja for a weekend of spiritual renewal and professional enrichment.
The conference featured inspiring parallel sessions, networking and mentorship opportunities, and above all, a powerful move of the Spirit through collective worship, fervent prayers, and renewed vision from the theme messages. Participants left refreshed, strengthened, and equipped to shine as Spirit-filled doctors, ready to serve God and humanity with excellence and compassion.
Doctors' Activities
EASTERN ZONE
Meetings
In the weeks leading up to and following the Eastern Zonal Conference, chapter activities across the Zone continued with vibrant consistency. NORTHERN ZONE
The echoes of Calabar still resound in our hearts. The fire of the National Conference in August was so strong that September opened with embers still glowing, and we have not fully recovered. May we never recover. May we remain steadfast, and keep pressing forward as soldiers who carry the imprint of that Holy convocation.
At ABUTH, the month began with Abba Father on the 1st, followed by their Academic Day on the 5th. The second Logo Exploration of the year, focusing on The Laver (towel and bowl), held on the 12th. Elections for new school executives came on the 19th, with the unveiling set for a Night Vigil on the 26th.
AKTH gathered the house on the 14th for a teaching on Personal Development: Christ the Template. They prepare to close the month with a Case Study Meeting on the 28th.
At ATBUTH, a follow-up to last month’s Relationship Talk came on the 15th, while on the 20th, the house met to consider Choice of Specialty. Their Logo Exploration on The Cross brought the month to a close on the 28th.
BDTH launched September with Abba Father on the 1st. On the 10th, a combined meeting reflected on National Conference 2025 experiences and nominated new school executives. The Financial Department Day rounded off their activities on the 28th.
BHUTH interceded in a special Prayer Vigil for their joint outreach, and the month is sealed with Drama Day on the 28th.
BSUTH elected new leaders on the 5th, unveiling them on the 12th. Their Logo Exploration on The Nigerian Flag was held on the 10th, and the month closed with an Academic Seminar on the 26th.
GSUTH met faithfully every Tuesday for prayer and Bible study. Their retreat on the 13th featured a Logo Exploration on The Cross.
At JUTH, the clinical and preclinical arms gathered in fellowship on the 12th. A Variety Day was scheduled for the 26th to end the month in joy and creativity.
UATH played a strategic role in the Doctors’ Northern Zonal Conference in Abuja (Sept 4th–7th), sending eight delegates. Their general house meeting on the 12th focused on The Christian Soldier. New executives were unveiled on the 19th, while Editorial and Drama Day crowned the month on the 26th.
UDUTH began with Abba Father on the 1st. Elections came on the 8th, followed by Editorial Day and the unveiling of new executives on the 21st.
At UMTH, a Bible Study on the 12th deepened convictions. Elections on the 19th ushered in new leaders, to be unveiled on the 26th. A Financial Seminar also held on the 20th, equipping members with stewardship principles.
MISSIONS: The army stayed on the move, carrying the light of Christ into hospitals, schools, prisons, and northern mission fields. ABUTH ministered in the hospital, while AKTH reached both hospital wards and a secondary school. ATBUTH visited the hospital, and BDTH combined hospital evangelism with a Prison Outreach at the Medium Security Custodial Center, Kaduna. BHUTH partnered with JUTH and the Plateau State Doctors’ Chapter for a three-day outreach in Nabar Dutse and Kakunka II, Basa LGA. BSUTH stormed the hospital to reveal Jesus, and JUTH maintained its weekly hospital evangelism, also joining the Plateau joint outreach. UATH visited the hospital, and UDUTH carried the banner on multiple fronts, including hospital evangelism and an outreach to their adopted mission field in Kangiwa, Kebbi State, in partnership with CAPRO and CMDA Doctors. UMTH had no recorded outreach this month.
From the lingering fire of Calabar to the fields of Sokoto and the villages of Plateau, the Northern Zone pressed forward in September with fresh commitment. The rise of this army is no longer a vision afar off. It is a living reality, one march, one meeting, one mission at a time.

Greetings in Jesus name!
Focus: Nigeria;Good People! Great Nation,
- Prov. 29.18 – Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. (KJV)
- Prov. 29.18 – If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed. (MSB)
- Praise God! CMDA Nigeria operates within the context of Nigeria as a nation. Whatever happens to Nigeria affects us.
- This is the week for the celebration of Nigeria’s independence from Great Britain!
- I guess we are familiar with the name ‘Great Britain’. Who called Britain ‘great’? Ever thought of it? I have watched many preachers in the US with different political leanings and I cannot help but admire their sense of patriotism, vision and ownership of their nation.
- USA is also a nation with great diversity and challenges but they have managed to transform all that into strength as they forged ahead to build a great nation.
- If Nigeria must be great, we must rise to call her ‘great’, if Nigeria must become a strong influence for God then you and I must arise and build.
- We must choose to call our nation what we desire rather than what currently prevails. We must learn to call the things that be not as though they were.
- We need to embrace a national vision for Nigeria to match into greatness. Someone once called Nigeria: Great Nation, Good People! That is a vision we can pray about as we in CMDA Nigeria celebrate Nigeria’s independence this week.
- The MSB says in Prov.29.18:
- _“If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.”_
- This Month we want to focus on what God is doing in Nigeria.
PRAYERS
- Give thanks to God for Nigeria! It’s 65 years of political independence from Great Britain. Glory be to God!
- Let’s thank God for the foundation laid by our founding fathers for one, united nation. Nigeria has been through many crisis situations but the Lord has preserved her through it all.
- Praise God for the Church in Nigeria. We are marching on in spite of the challenges we have faced. It’s the mercy of God that has preserved us. Let’s thank God for the vessels He has raised from Nigeria to bless humanity.
- Praise God for CMDA Nigeria and yourself! You are a vessel God has chosen to use to bless the nations. Let’s appreciate Him for the success of the Eastern Zonal Conference that just ended yesterday.
- Let’s pray that God will reveal with great clarity His vision for us as a nation. That everyone, young and old, may embrace this vision of greatness and run with it in Jesus name!
- Let’s pray that God will raise righteous and God fearing leaders for us at various levels and dimensions: Political leaders at national, state and LG levels (executive, judiciary and legislature). Religious leaders, Traditional leaders, Business leaders and other leaders in various Professions, Education, Media, Sports and Entertainment.
- Let’s praise God for a new Nigeria: Great Nation, Good People!
