FINDING HOPE IN TURBULENT TIMES

In today’s world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the constant barrage of bad news. Rising fuel prices, unaffordable food costs, and a struggling economy can leave us feeling anxious and uncertain. But as Christians, we have a hope that transcends our circumstances.

In John 16:33, Jesus reminds us, “In this world, you will have many trials and tribulations, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world.” He knew we would face challenges, but He also promised to give us the strength to overcome them.

As 1 John 4:4 says, “Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.” We have an advantage because God dwells within us. In Jeremiah 33:3, He invites us to “Call upon me, and I will answer and show you great and mighty things which you know not.”

When the going gets tough, let’s remember to call on God. He is always with us (Matthew 28:20), and He never fails (Psalm 37:5). Let’s hold onto His promises and trust Him to see us through.

Don’t lose hope in this season. Instead, let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith – Hebrews 12:2.

He is our rock, our refuge and our saviour, and with Him by our side, we can face anything that comes our way.”
