Are you struggling to handle grief, anxiety, and pain? Do you feel lost, forgotten, and forsaken, like the world is closing in on you? You may be overwhelmed with emotions, regret, psychological pain, depression, or even suicidal thoughts. You may question God’s love and wonder, “Where was God in all of this?” Your agony and anguish may lead to withdrawal and holding back. I’ve been in a similar place, but I survived. Sometimes, God uses our grief, pain, and challenges to call out to us, but we’re too blinded to hear. We may emerge from our grief scarred and fearful of future pain. But that’s not God’s intention. What if grief is God’s final attempt to reach us? As C.S. Lewis said, “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain: it is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.” Our pain has a purpose, and we can move from grief to glory. When we lay our grief before God, He reveals our purpose and draws us closer to Himself. Draw near to God, and you’ll find peace amidst your grief. While grief may not be the most conventional way, if we encounter it, why shouldn’t we come out glorious? At least we can say, “Despite my grief, God had my back, and He made all things work together for my good.”
