Money is a tool that aside from catering to your human needs, can also serve as a tool for the kingdom in propagating the gospel. As recorded in 3John1:2, it is God’s will that we prosper in every aspect and that includes financially. Making money as a student means going into legitimate business ventures that will earn you money other than what you get from your parents. Legitimate being the keyword because we are believers and the Lord detests dishonest ventures. There are many legitimate ways to earn money as a student and balancing your academics with whatever business idea you have is of utmost importance bearing in mind that your academics comes first in this phase of your life. Making money can either be through service providing or by sales of goods which can be online or offline. The first step is to know which you are better equipped at and which you can carry on with for the long term because making money is something you should approach as a long-term goal. Do not write yourself off because you do not think you possess any skill at the moment. There are a lot of helpful resources (courses you can take, books to read) and people to emulate to learn the art, science and business of making money. Go through this process prayerfully and speak to people who are already in the business world for proper guidance. Put in the required work as much as your academics permits you. Remember that your academics should not suffer in the bid to make money.
