GOD’S CALLING

On a Sunday morning, I was walking to church in solitude trying to recall what I had learned in Sunday school the previous week. The lesson was about the children of Israel—as usual, they were complaining. And accusing Moses of bringing them out of Egypt to suffer and to die in hunger. God had called them out of Egypt to send them to Cannan still they doubted His plan because of immediate obstacles they faced. This pattern of disbelief led the Israelites to rebel which resulted in spending about 40 more years in the wilderness. Of course, I was judging the Israelites for being so stubborn and just plain dumb, because why will you repeat the same mistake you’ve been punished for multiple times?! Un l I realized I was—I am exactly like them. I guess it’s easier to see someone else’s flaw than to recognize a personal flaw. Anyway, while meditating that Sunday morning something came to mind, your doubting God’s plan doesn’t change His plan. If God has called you to do something, channel energy to create strategies to be excellent in the field God has called you to, instead of welcoming uncertainty. The earlier you accept and walk in your God given calling, the earlier your satisfaction in life.
