Zonal Prayer and Missions Conferences 2026

The three zones successfully hosted their respective Zonal Prayer and Missions Conferences (ZPMCs) 2026, themed “Fruitful Vessels” (John 15:1–8; 2 Tim. 2:20–21; Col. 1:9–11).

The Eastern ZPMC held at The City of Refuge, Wailing Women Camp Ground, Abara Etche, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th April 2026, with a total attendance of 1,307 delegates, including 11 student national executives and about 10 doctors and past leaders. The Western ZPMC took place at Godhead International Christian Center, Ekehuan Road, Benin City, from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd May 2026, recording 960 delegates, including 6 student national executives and about 44 doctors and past leaders. The Northern ZPMC was hosted at First Baptist Church, Jekadafari, Gombe State, from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd May 2026, with 650 delegates in attendance, including 5 student national executives and about 12 doctors and past leaders.

The conferences featured opening charges and exhortations delivered by national officers including the National President, Kpoughor Watchman, and the National Ex-Officio, Dr. Osondu Covenant. Participants were richly blessed through theme exposition sessions, missions talks, prayer meetings, and academic seminars that deepened spiritual understanding and strengthened commitment to service.

Another major highlight across the conferences was the presentation of reports and field testimonies by prayer and mission secretaries from the various chapters within each zone — 14 chapters in the East, 15 out of 16 chapters in the West, and 12 chapters in the North. These sessions created opportunities for feedback, encouragement, accountability, and renewed focus on missions and prayer activities across the chapters.

The conferences also featured 12 parallel breakout sessions covering diverse and relevant topics such as medico-legal issues, marriage, prayer, Bible study, medical missions, finance, Christian apologetics, politics, leadership, telemedicine, discipleship, and effective witnessing to Muslims, all facilitated by experienced resource persons. STUDENT ENGAGEMENTS

EASTERN ZONE

Blessed be God, our faithful Father, who has continually sustained and strengthened the Eastern Zone for fruitful service in His vineyard. Throughout the month of April, the Lord graciously led the various chapters through seasons of prayer, fellowship, missions engagement, academic growth, and leadership development. As preparations for the Eastern Zonal Prayer and Missions Conference (EZPMC) intensified across the zone, chapters remained vibrant and active, recording impactful engagements that strengthened members.

Prayer and spiritual devotion remained central across the zone, as chapters commenced the month with Abba Father Prayers and sustained regular fasting, prayer meetings, prayer stretches, and devotional gatherings. ABSUTH, AEFUTH, COOUTH, ESUTH, EBSUTH, NAUTH, RSUTH, UCTH, UNTH, UPTH, and UUTH all observed dedicated chapter days of prayer and fasting, while chapters such as IMSUTH and COOUTH maintained weekly prayer meetings and prayer squads throughout the month. ESUTH coordinated chain prayers for IMM, while NAUTH organized pre-EZPMC prayers, prayer squad calls, and an extended prayer stretch. UCTH also sustained regular morning devotions and coordinated prayer meetings across multiple days of the week, reflecting the deep spiritual hunger across the zone.

The month equally witnessed sustained academic and leadership engagements across chapters. ESUTH organized a session on the use of academic tools, while IMSUTH continued tutorials and the Excel Mentorship Scheme. NAUTH remained academically active through mock quizzes, weekly assessments, and Academic Board engagements, while UNTH concluded the month with an Academic Board Forum. EBSUTH hosted a Student Clinical Forum, and several chapters, including AEFUTH, GUTH, and UUTH, held class activities, logo explorations, and leadership or executive meetings geared toward strengthening structure and participation within the fellowship.

Mission activities and practical expressions of service also featured prominently throughout the month. ESUTH carried out orphanage and pediatric outreaches alongside personal evangelism initiatives through Operation Convert Your Classmate. EBSUTH organized a Rural Missions Outreach, while COOUTH and GUTH conducted hospital evangelism efforts. IMSUTH sustained ward evangelism activities, and UCTH actively engaged members through Missions Awareness programmes and Operation Convert Your Classmates (CYC). AEFUTH also commemorated World Health Day with a secondary school health education outreach, while GUTH organized a health campaign in observance of World Shaken Baby Syndrome Day.

A major highlight across the zone during the month was participation in the Eastern Zonal Prayer and Missions Conference (EZPMC) 2026 hosted by UPTH from April 10th–12th. Chapters actively mobilized members toward the conference, while several chapters subsequently organized “Echoes from EZPMC” meetings and retreats to reinforce lessons and stir members toward deeper commitment and service.

At the zonal level, the Eastern Zonal Committee convened virtually on April 25th via Google Meet, where reports from the various chapters were presented and reviewed. This was followed by a special session held on April 27th themed “Balance and Productivity,” featuring a past leader who charged members on living purposefully while maintaining spiritual and academic excellence.

Indeed, the Lord has remained faithful to the Eastern Zone, guiding every chapter and strengthening every member for the work ahead. We remain confident that He who has begun this good work among us will continue to perfect it for His glory. To God alone be all the praise.

WESTERN ZONE

Theme: “The Outpouring; A Fruitful Life.”

We return all glory to God for His faithfulness and the tremendous activities recorded across the Western Zone during the months of April and May. The Lord has continued to strengthen the chapters for impactful service, sustaining members spiritually, academically, and missionally as they labour together in alignment with the vision for the year. Across the zone, chapters remained vibrant through prayer gatherings, leadership engagements, missions activities, academic programmes, outreaches, and preparations toward the Western Zonal Prayer and Missions Conference (WZPMC).

Prayer and spiritual engagements remained a strong focus across the zone. Several chapters commenced both months with Abba Father prayers, while chapter days of fasting and prayer were consistently observed across AAU/ISTH, ABUADTH, DELSUTH, IUTH, LASUTH, LUTH, OOUTH, UBTH, and UNIOSUNTH. DELSUTH sustained extensive pre-conference prayers and weekly night prayers across the Oghara, Warri, and Abraka wings, while chapters such as BUTH, OOUTH, and UNIOSUNTH organized special pre-WZPMC prayer sessions. Prayer retreats, midnight prayers, prayer stretches, and executive prayer meetings also featured prominently, reinforcing spiritual sensitivity and alignment within the chapters.

Academic growth and leadership development also remained active across the zone. AAU/ISTH organized an Academic Week and Academic Seminar, while BUTH hosted an academic webinar for 100-level students. IUTH conducted mock examinations and later announced an academic seminar and newsletter launch, while UBTH held an academic seminar alongside its Creative Hub initiative. LUTH organized an academic seminar and first aid training, and DELSUTH hosted Excel and examination orientation programmes for clinical students. Several chapters also held logo explorations, school executive meetings, leadership trainings, financial summits, and chapter reviews aimed at strengthening coordination and personal development among members.

Mission and outreach activities were equally sustained throughout the period. AAU/ISTH organized street evangelism and a school outreach, while ABUADTH, BUTH, LASUTH, LUTH, OOUTH, and UBTH carried out hospital evangelism and outreach activities. DELSUTH conducted a prison outreach through the Wholeness Missions initiative, while IUTH organized a free rural medical outreach. UNIOSUNTH remained actively engaged through rural outreach programmes, campus evangelism preparations, and virtual health campaigns, while LASUTH and UBTH also sustained missions awareness and outreach engagements within their communities.

The Western Zonal Prayer and Missions Conference (WZPMC), held from May 1st–3rd, served as a major highlight across the zone, with chapters actively participating and subsequently organizing review meetings, echoes sessions, and follow-up engagements to reinforce lessons and rekindle passion for missions and discipleship.

We remain grateful to God for His sustaining grace and trust Him for greater impact across the chapters in the days ahead.

CMDA NIGERIA NATIONAL PRAYER DEPARTMENT

PRAYER BULLETIN

THEME: ENLARGE YOUR TENT

Text: Matt. 4.19_And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

👉🏽 FISHERS OF MEN! This is one of the most interesting invitations from the lips of the MAN of Galilee!

It is a PROPOSITION pregnant with unlimited possibilities! If you follow me, I will not only make a MAN of you, I will make you a fisher of MEN! This is the evidence of our calling!

👉🏽 Our part is to follow Him and His part is to make MEN out of us who will in turn become FISHERS OF MEN! So we have the potential, not only to be MEN, but to raise MEN in the nations of the world! But first we must follow Him!

👉🏽 Who are you following? Him or others? In the choices you make in life, whose leading are you following?

👉🏽 The making of a MAN in this Kingdom is a function of the quality of his followership of Jesus Christ. Many follow other men but following Jesus will make a MAN of you.

👉🏽 A MAN is one who has grown in his walk with God such that he has either been given charge of a territory or he has taken charge of a territory for God by virtue of his relationship with God!

👉🏽 In Luke 2:25, we see that Simeon was such a man in Jerusalem!

John 1:6 – There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

👉🏽 John was a MAN who related with God in such a way that people left the Cities and emptied into the wilderness to hear him. He had something his generation needed.

👉🏽 So you and I have something to offer our generation. From that WARD or clinic we can bless the WORLD!

Acts 9.11 – And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

Acts 9.12 – And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.

👉🏽 “And hath seen in a vision A MAN named Ananias coming in…”

I believe Ananias stood as A MAN for God to protect the believers in the city of Damascus hence the supernatural arrest of Saul who later became Paul!

👉🏽 In Ananias, we see A MAN who has become a fisher of MEN! Paul himself became a MAN, taking territories for God and writing most of the letters of the New Testament. Paul raised other MEN like Timothy and Titus!

👉🏽 Indeed every genuine followership of Jesus will have fruits to show.

👉🏽 There is a process in the raising of men! A child doesn’t suddenly become a man. Paul himself who became a MAN in Christ and subsequently became a Fisher of MEN understood this, practiced this and recorded his model for us to learn from:

2 Tim. 2.1 – Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2 Tim. 2.2 – And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

2 Tim. 2.3 – Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

2 Tim. 2.4 – No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2 Tim. 2.5 – And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

2 Tim. 2.6 – The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

2 Tim. 2.7 – Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

👉🏽 This is a model that Paul used effectively for TRAINING and raising MEN!

👉🏽 It’s our season of “TRAINING FOR ENLARGEMENT”. The Lord give us understanding in Jesus name!

Prayer Points

  1. Let us thank God for His goodness and mercy to all nations especially Nigeria.
  2. Let us give God praise for CMDA Nigeria and all the ministries he has given us.
  3. Let us pray for IfEHL which commenced yesterday that God will raise MEN from all that have been trained in Jesus name.
  4. Let us pray for the forthcoming Lady Doctors Meeting that the hand of God will rest afresh upon all our Lady Doctors in Jesus name! That all indeed manifest the Deborah Anointing in Jesus name!
  5. Let us pray for the forthcoming students Missions and Prayer conferences that it will life changing for all our students in Jesus name!
  6. Let us pray for the fourth coming Doctors National Conference that it will be an unusual time of encounter with the Lord in Jesus name!
