THERE IS A PRICE TO PAY

The sad reality of today’s world is that many were born to make an impact on earth but they end up just making a living. How can one come to a point where he stamps his foot on the sands of me and be remembered for generations to come? He must pay the price! Switzerland is a place where the currency of the world is stored due to their level of honesty, integrity and principles established. This was possible because a man paid the price. John Calvin prayed, asking God “Lord in my life me, I want in every house in Geneva, a praying Chris an.” The virtue of his prayer swept revival across Switzerland, causing prisons to be empty, decrease in crime rate and a turnaround in their country’s status up still today. What about Evan Roberts who prayed for 13 years that God should sweep revival in Welsh, which led to bars being closed, court houses being deserted, decrease in crime rate, etc. The effect of his prayer was such that even animals could not be communicated with because they were trained with curse words. A man went to several booths in a community, hoping to get an alcoholic drink and could not find any. He became furious and asked “why doesn’t anyone in the community sell liquor?!” He was told “A man called John Wesley passed this community 100 years ago.” Indeed, there is a price to pay. The famous John Knox couldn’t stand the bad governance in Scotland and prayed “Lord, give me Scotland or I die.” The queen of Scotland confessed that she feared the prayer of John Knox more than the whole army of England. This prayer led to the banishment of the queen from Scotland and a restoration of good governance. When was the last me you prayed to take charge of evil vices in your family? When was the last me you prayed “Lord, give me this campus or I die?” Do not come into this world to make a living; vow to make an impact. Kathryn Kuhlman of blessed memory said “Young people, pay the price, it is worth it.” There is a price to pay and to see a difference, we must pay the price.
